BATCH RENAMING · REGEX · IMAGE RESIZING

Batch rename files in your browser

Select up to 100 files or a folder and apply consistent naming rules. Use regular expressions, find and replace, prefixes, suffixes, letter case, and automatic numbering.

Change file extensions and preview every new name before processing. For images, set pixel dimensions, preserve aspect ratio, and export as PNG, JPEG, or WebP.

Rename up to 100 files in your browser with regular expressions, extension changes, prefixes, suffixes, and numbering. Resize images and download files individually or as a ZIP; files are never uploaded.

Find and replace applies to the filename without its extension. JavaScript regex groups and backreferences are supported; Ignore case enables the i flag.

Resize images if needed

Images only

Images are decoded in your browser when resized; metadata such as EXIF is not retained. Output is limited to 40 megapixels, and the extension matches the selected format.

Batch filename and image-resizing tool

Standardize filenames by replacing text, adding a prefix or suffix, changing letter case, numbering a series, or changing extensions in bulk. Preview every new name before creating the archive.

Use JavaScript regular expressions for flexible find-and-replace, including global replacement and case-insensitive search. Folders selected with the folder picker retain their relative structure in the ZIP.

If needed, resize images by pixel width and height, preserve proportions or stretch to exact dimensions, and convert to PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Originals are unchanged and never uploaded: download files individually from the list or bundle them into a ZIP archive.

  • Up to 100 files per batch, with a combined input size limit of 150 MB.
  • Find and replace, regular expressions, prefixes, suffixes, letter case, and numbering.
  • Changing an extension does not convert file contents; image format conversion is available separately when resizing images.
  • Resize images in your browser and export them in a ZIP.
  • Russian, English, and Unicode filenames are supported.

Frequently asked questions

Are files uploaded to a server?

No. Files are read and processed in your browser on your device. The server only receives the page request; the contents of selected files are not uploaded.

How many files can I process at once?

You can select up to 100 files with a combined size of 150 MB or less. If you exceed a limit, the selection is rejected; remove some files and try again.

How does find and replace work?

By default, text is searched in the filename without its extension and all matches are replaced. Enable regular expressions to use JavaScript RegExp syntax, groups, and replacement backreferences.

Are Russian filenames supported?

Yes. Cyrillic, Latin, and other Unicode characters are preserved in the preview and ZIP archive.

Does changing a file extension convert its format?

No. The extension field only changes the filename; it does not convert the file contents. For images, enable resizing and separately choose PNG, JPEG, or WebP output.

Which images can be resized?

The browser must be able to decode the image. This usually includes PNG, JPEG, WebP, and other common formats supported by your device and browser. If a format cannot be read, an error appears and the ZIP is not reported as successfully created.

How is the aspect ratio preserved when resizing?

Fit mode scales the image so it fits within the selected width and height. Stretch mode forces the exact dimensions and may distort the aspect ratio.

Are EXIF and other metadata preserved?

Resizing redraws the image through canvas, so EXIF and other source metadata are not retained. If resizing is off, the file is added to the archive without re-encoding.

How are folders and duplicate filenames handled?

When you select a folder, relative subfolders are kept in the ZIP. If a new name conflicts with an existing path, a number in parentheses is added, such as “file (2).jpg”.

Can I change extensions for different file types?

Yes. Enter an extension to apply it to all filenames; file contents remain unchanged. To convert images, enable resizing and choose an output format.

What happens if a regular expression is invalid?

The invalid expression is shown next to the workspace and in a dismissible dialog. Processing will not start until the pattern syntax is corrected.

How do I download the processed files?

Select the download icon in a file’s row to save it individually, or choose Process and download ZIP for the entire list. Processing happens on your device; original files on your computer are not changed.

Are selected files or settings saved when I leave the page?

Files and settings are not written to the site’s local storage. Select your files again after closing or refreshing the page.
