JSON FORMATTER AND VALIDATION

TOOLS FOR JSON

Format and validate JSON

Paste JSON to format or minify it, validate the syntax, and optionally sort object keys. Error messages identify where input needs attention.

Copy the formatted result or save it as a file. Large numbers can be handled without unwanted precision loss.

Hides sorting and Unicode settings; basic actions remain available.

Input data structure

Elements—JSON nodes total
Items—nested containers
Arrays—lists of values
Keys—Object fields
Max. depth—levels from root

Format, compress and validate JSON

Format minified JSON, compress multiline data, and find syntax errors. Parsing preserves the original spelling of numbers and duplicate keys, while sorting only changes the order of the object keys.

  • Indented by 2 or 4 spaces or tab;
  • recursive sorting of keys and optional Unicode ASCII escaping;
  • checking strict JSON with line number and column;
  • opening a JSON file, copying and downloading the result.

Standard JSON does not allow comments or trailing commas. Sorting does not change arrays; Unicode escaping preserves the original values.

How to work with JSON

Processes standard JSON: comments and trailing commas are considered an error. The maximum volume is 2,000,000 characters.
