Possibilities of a color picker and image mode

  • Convert between 16 formats: HEX, RGB/RGBA, HSL/HSV, HWB, CMYK, CIE Lab/LCH, OKLab/OKLCH and XYZ.
  • Interactive circle, system color selection, hue, saturation, brightness and alpha channel adjustment.
  • Checking contrast on white and black backgrounds using the WCAG formula and a palette of 150 basic shades.
  • Copy individual format values or a summary of a selected color.
  • Reads color from a selected pixel in an image and replaces similar RGB shades with customizable tolerance.
  • Preview of the original and the result, saving the edited image in PNG.

CMYK and other color spaces are calculated mathematically; actual printing depends on the device profile and materials selected.

How to work with color

  1. To convert, paste the code into the source record, select its format and the format of the result.
  2. To select, click on the color wheel or set HEX, hue, saturation and brightness.
  3. The alpha channel slider sets the opacity; swatches show color on a checkerboard background.
  4. HEX, RGB and HSV values are available in the base palette. The remaining representations and their codes are shown in the list of the current color.
  5. Contrast shows the calculated relationship with a white and black background. Click the copy button next to the code.
  6. Open the “Image Colors” mode, load the file and click on the desired color on the original. Select a replacement color and tolerance, then click Replace Color.
  7. Saving creates a PNG without the original metadata. Image size is up to 8 megapixels.

Simple mode hides rare color spaces. The color selection, regular converter and basic palette remain available.
